Join 350Deschutes on Tuesday, March 2 at 3:00pm for our FREE webinar entitled Electrify for Healthier Homes! This webinar will focus on why switching from fossil gas, AKA natural gas, to electric is better for your health, wallet, and the environment. All who attend the event will get a chance to win a gift card from Bed Bath and Beyond!

New research shows the risks of cooking with gas and the dangers from indoor air quality, where we spend 90% of our time. Oregon Health Authority (OHA) and 350Eugene speak about how you can protect yourself.

Speakers Jim Neu and Betzi Hitz from 350Eugene will talk about the environmental impacts of fracking for fossil gas, hazards of using fossil gas in our homes, the benefits of switching from gas to electric appliances and the nationwide movement towards building electrification.

Toxicologist Dave Farrer from OHA’s Environmental Public Health section will speak about emissions from cooking with natural gas, indoor air quality in general, and how you can protect your health. His presentation will include findings from the recently released OHA report on climate and health.

Bed Bath and Beyond carries many electric appliance alternatives, such as induction burners and electric kettles. Click here to register now and attend our event for your chance to win a Bed Bath and Beyond gift card to help you start electrifying your home!
